Questions to Ask Your Colorado Newborn Photographer
I will go ahead and answer the questions for you about our Newborn Photography Studio!
- How many years have you been working as a newborn photographer and approximately how many babies have you handled up to this point? {I have been photographing Newborns for about 6 years now and I have photographed over 100 Newborns!!}
- Have you received any newborn specific posing training and with whom did you train? {Yes, I have mentored under some of the best Newborn Photographers including Nikki Criniti and Amy McDonald!}
- What are the safety practices you have in place in your studio specifically geared towards the newborn client? {Newborn Safety is paramount in my studio! And there’re many things I do in studio to keep your baby safe, from temperature control to assistant spotting.}
- Will my newborn be supported by human hands in all upright positions as well as any poses requiring suspension? {Absolutely!}
- Do you work with an assistant or provide spotters at your newborn sessions? If not, will you allow me to spot my baby during a session? {I work with an assistant who happens to also be an RN, she works as my second pair of hands and eyes.}
- What will happen in the case of illness, your own or otherwise? {If I become ill before your session, we will reschedule for a latter date.}
- Are you currently up to date on the necessary vaccines needed when working with a pregnant or newborn population? {Yes! I remain current on FLU and WHOOPING COUGH vaccination.}
- Can you point me towards online resources from which I can learn about safe practices when photographing newborns? {Yes! upon request, I can absolutely send you some links.}
- Are you a member of an organization or association directly servicing newborn photographers and their educational needs? {Yes! I am a member, qualified Newborn Photographer and Safety Course Completion of the ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL Newborn Photographers International.} I have posted some more information on this topic here!
