What does this mean?
Currently, there are no safety regulations in place for the Newborn Photography industry. Anyone who owns a camera can begin photographing newborns with no training and no knowledge of the unique needs of infants. This is pretty alarming if you ask me! Newborn Safety is very important to me and I want to do everything I can to stay current on training. This is the reason I feel so proud of this certification!
Not only do we have 6 years of experience photographing Newborns, We are now certified in Newborn Safety! In Order to obtain this certification, I had to undergo training and testing on Newborn Photography safety and handling. This training goes over posing, anatomy of Newborns, circulation, flexibility, reflexes & more!
Newborn Sessions are held at Newborn Photography Studio in Fruita, CO. We have all of the most current props available for use, as well as gowns and some toddler outfits for siblings. Our studio has a small sitting area where you are able to enjoy watching us photograph your baby. We also have a changing table and some necessities on hand like diapers and wipes if needed.
